We love seeing the ways in which our fans are inspired by our works to create unique and interesting art. With this page, we hope to outline the rules that will allow people to create and sell their works in a way that will avoid confusion between fan merchandise and official merchandise for our games, Bugsnax and Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
- It is okay to create and sell quantity-limited, hand-made merchandise that is inspired by our games. There is no need to get permission for this. However, items that are mass-produced and distributed are not allowed.
- Selling handmade items or limited run prints/shirts directly, or on Etsy, Ebay, social media, or in person is fine. Do not sell them on large print on demand stores such as Redbubble, Displate, Society6, or Amazon.
- Please do not contact us for permission to create designs intended for mass distribution. We are a small team and we will reach out to any companies or individuals we wish to work with.
- Any item being sold would need to clarify that it is unofficial and not an authorized product by Young Horses. Do not use any official logos, artwork, or game assets produced by Young Horses in your product or advertising.
- Items that are substantially similar to official items offered by Young Horses or any of Young Horses’ authorized licensees are not allowed.
- Any product must not associate Young Horses or our games with content that is offensive, illegal, inappropriate, or otherwise does not match the tone and audience of our games.
- We reserve the right to ask for any merchandise to be removed for any reason. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.
